Why I Became A Health Coach ( My Story )
For years I felt uninspired to go to work every day. Everything changed when I went back to school at the world’s largest nutrition school, the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and graduated as a Certified Health Coach. The program changed my life. The mission of the school is to “play a crucial role in improving health and happiness, and through that process, create a ripple effect that transforms the world.”
After graduating, I created a successful wellness company. Now I wake up every morning energized and excited to work with clients, teach, write, create online programs, speak, plan events, and appear on national media as a go-to wellness expert.

Because I have so much love for the IIN program and all it taught me (and I get questions all of the time about my education and journey as a health coach), I love sharing information about the program with anyone else who might benefit from it and created this page specifically to answer the most frequent questions I get.

What Is A Health Coach?
When you graduate from IIN you can shape your own business as a Certified Health Coach. Health Coaches offer one-on-one health coaching, group programs, workshops, healthy cooking classes and more. They work as a guide, coaching others to reach their health and wellness goals. Health Coaches help their clients make gradual, sustainable changes that create huge improvements in their overall well-being.
What Is The Health Coach Training Program?
Your IIN education will empower you to transform your health and happiness and launch a fulfilling new career so you can make money doing work you love. The school teaches you how to work with clients one-on-one, run group programs, and hold workshops at corporate offices, spas, health clubs, doctors’ offices, schools and SO MUCH MORE.

It’s a 1-year program, broken into 40 modules, and delivered entirely through an online learning platform. You’ll learn over 100 dietary theories as well as business skills and coaching training.
There are unlimited options, and how you use your education is entirely up to you. Integrative Nutrition covers cutting-edge, modern, traditional, and holistic nutrition concepts you won’t find in a traditional nutrition program. The Institute for Integrative (IIN) was founded in 1992 by Joshua Rosenthal and it’s now the largest nutrition school in the world. Learn Online From Anywhere In The World On Your Time
The IIN Curriculum is delivered via the Classroom app, a 24/7 portable classroom that allows you to learn wherever and whenever you like. The app is easily downloadable to your iPhone, iPad, iPad mini, or iPod touch and allows you to study at home or on-the-go at a time that works for you. The program modules are designed for every kind of learner — with videos, live online classes, group discussions and written assignments.
It can be done anywhere, making it perfect for busy people who travel a lot or want to create their own schedule. The core curriculum takes 48 weeks to complete, and a typical student spends about 5 hours per week on the coursework.
